HeadHunter IFRS net income almost triples to 4 bln rbl in Jul–Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 15 (PRIME) -- The net income of Russian online recruiting platform HeadHunter spiked to 4.150 billion rubles in July–September from 1.412 billion rubles a year earlier, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Wednesday in a statement.
Revenue rose by 76.4% to 8.365 billion rubles “mostly due the continuing demand for candidates driving up the number of paying customers and the average consumption, as well as our monetization improvements and low base effect,” the company said.
Revenue of the Russia segments jumped 72.4% to 7.583 billion rubles.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) soared to 5.225 billion rubles from 2.598 billion rubles in the same period of 2022. The adjusted EBITDA margin added 7.7 percentage points to 62.5%.
“The group accrued the windfall tax of 268 million rubles within line ‘Income tax expense’ in the interim condensed consolidated statement of income and comprehensive income for the three months ended September 30, 2023,” HeadHunter also said.
The company paid the windfall tax on October 31.
